How to Join a Friend's Enshrouded Server

What you need before joining

To join an Enshrouded server you need three things from whoever runs it: the server address (an IP and port, or a domain), the password if it is set, and confirmation that the server is actually online. With those in hand, connecting takes under a minute.

Join from the Enshrouded server browser

1. Launch Enshrouded and choose Play, then open the multiplayer / server browser tab.
2. Select "Add Server" (or the direct-connect option).
3. Enter the server IP and port — for example 203.0.113.10:15636 — or the domain your host gave you.
4. Type the password if the server is protected, then confirm.
5. The server now appears in your list. Select it and click Join to load into the world.

Once added, the server stays saved in your browser, so on future sessions you just pick it from the list and click Join. If your friend is on a managed host like Flux, the address is a clean domain rather than a raw IP, which is easier to share and does not change.

Joining a server hosted on Flux

If the server runs on the Flux decentralized cloud, the owner can copy the exact connect address from their dashboard and send it to you. Paste it into "Add Server", enter the password if there is one, and join. Because Flux servers stay online 24/7, you can drop in and out whenever you like without waiting for the host to be on.

Fixing: Enshrouded server not showing up

If the server does not appear or you cannot connect, work through these in order — the cause is almost always one of them:

• Double-check the IP/domain and port. The game port is usually 15636; a wrong port is the most common mistake.
• Confirm the server is online. Ask the owner to verify it in their host dashboard or control panel.
• Make sure the host has forwarded UDP ports 15636 and 15637. A self-hosted server with closed ports is invisible even when running.
• Verify you and the server are on the same game version. Enshrouded blocks connections across mismatched versions after an update.
• Re-add the server instead of relying on a stale saved entry, and restart the game to clear the browser cache.
• Temporarily check whether your own firewall or VPN is blocking the outbound connection.

Common connection errors

A "connection timed out" usually means the address or port is wrong, or the ports are closed. "Wrong password" is self-explanatory — passwords are case-sensitive. "Version mismatch" means either you or the server needs to update to the latest Enshrouded patch before you can connect.
